Caldicot Triathlon
The Caldicot Triathlon takes place at Caldicot Leisure Centre and surrounding grounds on Saturday 26th June 2027. The event uses the centre's indoor pool for the swim and an arena style grass circuit for the cycle and run, all contained within the venue grounds.
The cycle and run courses are lapped, flat and traffic free, with clear post and tape markings and marshals around the course. Competitors must count their own pool lengths and laps on the bike and run. A cycle helmet is compulsory. The grass circuit is cut shortly before the event and any type of bike may be used.
All standard race categories award an official finishers medal. A sanctioned Elite Sprint head to head race follows the main event. A children's Fun Triathlon is held for ages 5 to 16 on the same day. Main individual races require competitors to be at least 14 years on race day.
Relay teams may consist of two or three people. Each team member completes one or two disciplines. An electronic chip is passed between swimmer, cyclist and runner inside the transition area and is handed in at the finish.
Competitor race day information, including race number and individual start time, is emailed to entrants 7 to 10 days before the event. Race packs are collected on the day at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
