Caldicot Triathlon - Caldicot Leisure Centre, Monmouthshire
The Caldicot Triathlon takes place at Caldicot Leisure Centre and surrounding grounds on Saturday 26th June 2027. The event uses the leisure centre pool for the swim and an arena style grass circuit for the cycle leg, with the run also on traffic free, lapped sections inside the venue.
The course layout is contained within the grounds, marshalled and marked with post and tape. Both the cycle and run courses are described as flat and lapped. Competitors must count their own pool lengths and their own laps on bike and run. Wearing a cycle helmet is compulsory on the bike section. All finishers receive an official finisher medal.
Multiple race distances are offered, including team relay formats. Relay teams can consist of two or three people; each team member completes one or two disciplines and transfers an electronic timing chip in the transition area. An Elite Sprint Head to Head race for 10 male and 10 female athletes is scheduled immediately after the main event.
Competitor race day information, including individual start times and race numbers, is emailed to entrants 7 to 10 days before the event. Race numbers and stickers are collected at on site registration on the day. A separate Kids Fun Triathlon is available for 5 to 16 year olds.
