About the race
Holme Moss Fell Race is an open event run by Holmfirth Harriers AC as part of the club’s Fell Championship. The demanding course covers about 28.5 km (17.8 miles) with around 1,285 metres of ascent, across rugged Pennine moorland on the edge of the Peak District. The route starts near Holme Moss and finishes at Cartworth Moor Cricket Club, is flagged and navigation-based, designed for experienced fell runners.
It features several checkpoints and water stations where runners must use their own cups; post-race refreshments are provided. Prizes are awarded across multiple age categories; online entries are encouraged with a limited field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
