Holme Moss Fell Race
The Holme Moss Fell Race is a category AL event organized by the Holmfirth Harriers. The course covers a distance of 28.5 km (17.8 miles) with a total ascent of 1285 meters (4,215 feet). Registration and the finish line are located at the Cartworth Moor Cricket Club in Holmfirth, while the start line is situated at grid reference SE133059, approximately half a mile from the club.
The route traverses true moorland terrain and incorporates sections of the Pennine Way. It features steep climbs and descents across several checkpoints, including Holme Moss, Tooleyshaw Moor, Crowden, Bareholme Moss, Laddow Rocks, and Black Hill. Due to the nature of the terrain, participants must possess navigation skills and adhere to mandatory safety requirements.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and capable of completing the course within a time limit of 5 hours and 30 minutes. Strict cut-off times are enforced at multiple locations along the route, specifically at Crowden, Bareholme, and Laddow Rocks.

The event provides water stations, though runners are required to bring their own cups or containers. After the race, food and drinks are provided for participants.
