The Cal 100 Fun Run is a community fundraising event held at the Lower Fields of Caloundra State School, on Queen Street in Caloundra, Queensland, on Sunday 13 September 2026. The main challenge runs for 100 minutes on a measured 1 km loop, with a designated changeover zone for team baton exchanges.
The event is open to participants aged 5 years and above and includes the following entry formats: adult solo, adult teams (2–8 members), youth teams (12–17 years, 3–8 members), children’s teams (5–12 years, 4–8 members) and family/mixed teams (4–8 members). Each team may set up one tent or marquee (3 m x 3 m or 3 m x 6 m) in a designated space. Prizes include a $100 award for the winning team in each category and for the adult solo winner, with runners-up eligible for prize vouchers. Local schools can compete for a Schools Challenge Trophy awarded to the school that goes the furthest.
Additional event features include the Beat the Croc novelty challenge for children on a smaller track, food and coffee vendors, raffles and event merchandise (t-shirts, sport visors, water bottles). Online merchandise orders are available until 23 August 2026. The event supports the school’s Cal 100km Club and raises funds for student participation, distance milestone awards and discounted running shirts.
A tiered refund schedule is published for entries; partial refunds may be considered for genuine reasons such as injury or illness and may require supporting documentation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
