CAL 100 FUN RUN : Caloundra State School
The Cal 100 Fun Run is a community event held at the Lower Fields of Caloundra State School. Participants run, jog or walk for 100 minutes around a measured 1 km loop to record how far they can go. The course includes a designated changeover zone for team baton exchanges and space for one team tent or marquee per team.
The event is open to participants aged 5 years and above and offers the following entry categories: adult solo, adult teams, youth teams, children’s teams, and family or mixed teams. Early bird and standard pricing tiers apply with different fees for adults, youth and children. Prize money is offered to the winning team in each category and to the adult solo winner, with runners up receiving prize vouchers. Local school, club and business challenge trophies will be awarded to teams that go the furthest.
Additional event elements include the Beat the Croc novelty race for children on a smaller track, food and coffee vendors, raffles, and event merchandise that can be preordered. Funds raised support the school’s Cal 100km Club and will help provide student participation support and distance milestone awards such as certificates, medals and trophies.
Organisers list local businesses and community groups as sponsors and supporters for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
