CajunMan Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike, Aquathlon and 5k Run - Lafayette, LA
The event is a multi-sport race held in Lafayette, Louisiana, at the Lafayette Regional Airport area and Airport Lake on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Multiple event formats are offered: triathlon (individual, relay, Athena, Clydesdale, beginner), duathlon (individual and relay), aquathlon, aquabike, and a 5K run/walk.
Race course details include:
- Swim: 1/2 mile or 400 meter open water swim in Airport Lake.
- Bike: 20 miles on marked roads in Lafayette Parish.
- Run: 5K (3.1 miles) using roads within the Lafayette Regional Airport.
Safety and race operations: the swim is open water with boats and other water safety support; swim caps are provided and wetsuit use follows USA Triathlon rules. The bike route is a marked 20 mile course with volunteers on course. The run starts and finishes near the transition area by Airport Lake; the course is marked and supported by volunteers and aid stations offering water and fluid replacement.
Additional notes: relay teams must have at least two participants and team members compete in the individual sports. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and requires appropriate USAT membership or a one-day license for multisport events. Packet pickup details are to be determined.
