Event overview
The CajunMan festival in Lafayette, Louisiana, includes multiple multisport and running events at 200 Perimeter Rd, Lafayette, LA 70508. Event types listed include triathlon (individual, relay team, Athena, Clydesdale, beginner), duathlon (individual and relay), aquathlon, aquabike, and a 5K run/walk. Course and race details
Distances provided for the main multisport course are:
- Swim: 1/2 mile (with a 400 m option for beginners)
- Bike: 20 miles
- Run: 5K (3.1 miles)
The swim is open water in Airport Lake; swim caps will be provided and water safety boats will be on site. Wetsuit use follows USA Triathlon rules and will be decided based on race-morning temperatures. The bike course is a 20-mile route on local roads with marked turns and volunteer support. The run starts and finishes near the transition area by Airport Lake and includes roads within the Lafayette Regional Airport; the course will be marked and staffed with aid stations offering water and fluid replacement drinks. Relay teams must have at least two members; one member may complete two disciplines while the other completes the remaining discipline.
