CajunMan Tri, Du and 5k
The CajunMan is a multisport event on Sunday September 12, 2027 at 200 Perimeter Rd., Lafayette, LA. The event features several race formats that combine open water swimming, road cycling, and a 5K run that finishes on the grounds of Lafayette Regional Airport.
Race formats include:
- Tri: 800 m swim, 20 mile bike, 5k run
- Du: 5k run, 20 mile bike, 5k run
- Beginner Tri: 400 m swim, 20 mile bike, 5k run
- Aquabike: 800 m swim and 20 mile bike
- 5k run
The swim is an open water lake swim. The bike course is a 20 mile route on open roads with police and volunteer support. The run is an out-and-back 5K; athletes are directed to stay to the left along the course. Relay teams of two or three participants are permitted.
Packet pick up and on-site registration are scheduled in the days before the event at Acadiana Bicycle Co and at the race site on race morning. There are no refunds and the event proceeds rain or shine.
All finishers receive a finisher prize. Awards are given to top overall and age group finishers including top male and female in youth and 5-year age divisions. A post-race party and awards ceremony follow the race, with local food and beverage offerings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
