CajunMan Tri, Du & 5K - TRAIL
The CajunMan takes place on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 200 Perimeter Rd., Lafayette, LA. The event offers multiple multisport and running options with an open water swim in the University of Louisiana ski lake, a bike course on open roads with police and volunteer support, and an out-and-back 5K run through the grounds of the Lafayette Regional Airport.
Race options include:
- Tri: 800 m swim, 20 mile bike, 5K run
- Du: 5K run, 20 mile bike, 5K run
- Beginner Tri: 400 m swim, 20 mile bike, 5K run
- Aquabike: 800 m swim, 20 mile bike
- 5K run: USAT membership not required
The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. All participants, including relay team members, must hold a USAT license or purchase a one-day license for the event. Relay teams may include two or three participants. Packet pick up is available at Acadiana Bicycle Co and on site on race day.
Awards and event services: finisher prizes are given to all who complete their event. Age group and overall awards are presented for top finishers, with categories including overall, master, grand master, and five-year age groups from 15 through 70+, plus a 14-and-under category. A post-race gathering includes food and an awards ceremony. There are no refunds and the event proceeds in all weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
