Cajun Cup 10K & 1 Mile
The Cajun Cup takes place in Lafayette, Louisiana, starting and finishing at Parc Sans Souci. This sporting event serves as a fundraiser to support the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Cross Country and Track teams. The event features multiple participation options for different interests and locations.
Available race distances include:
- 10 km
- 1 mile (Farrel’s Mile)
- Virtual 10 km
- Virtual 1 mile
The 10 km course has a time limit of approximately 2 hours, after which participants may be asked to move to the sidewalk to complete the distance. Participants in the 10 km event receive a finisher's medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in various age groups starting from ages 9 and under up to 70 and older. Cash prizes and specially designed mugs are awarded to top overall and masters category winners.
An equipment collection is organized during the event weekend to support Lafayette Catholic Services. Participants and spectators can donate old running shoes at designated locations on the Friday before the race or on race morning.
