Cairncastle Classic (NIMRA Champs)
The Cairncastle Classic is a mountain running event in County Antrim, held on Saturday 6th June 2026 as part of the NIMRA Championships for medium distance. The course covers 16.20 km with approximately 620 m of climb. The event is listed with a difficulty rating of 5 (2,1,2) and described as moderate terrain.
Only major junctions on the course are marked and the use of GPS devices is not allowed. Competitors must carry mandatory Level B kit, which includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent.
