Cairncastle Classic
The Cairncastle Classic Fell Race is a medium-distance mountain running event held near Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Covering approximately 10 miles (16.2 km) with around 2200 feet (620 meters) of climbing, the race starts and finishes at Cairncastle Primary School in Ballygalley. The challenging course features a mix of road, farmers' tracks, fells, and coastal paths, passing notable landmarks such as Knockdhu summit, Sallagh Braes, Linford Car Park, Scawt Hill, and Ballygally Castle.
The route is only marked at major junctions, requiring participants to navigate with care.
