BWell Saginaw Strides Toward Wellness
The BWell Saginaw Strides Toward Wellness event is a multi-distance community race held in Saginaw, Michigan. Organized by the BWell Saginaw Partner Coalition and Dig Deep Race Events, this occasion features a variety of participation options for different interests and age groups. The event is hosted at the Saginaw YMCA and follows courses that utilize the local trail systems and city landmarks.
Participants can choose from several event distances:
- 10 km Run
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 3 km "Turtles & Hares" Untimed Run/Walk
- Challenge for Change (Participation in both the 10 km and 5 km)
The 10 km and 5 km events are USATF-sanctioned and professionally timed. The 5 km and 3 km routes include a section that passes through the Saginaw Children’s Zoo. The 10 km course extends further south for an out-and-back section along the Saginaw River, crossing the Court St Bridge and passing the Saginaw Silos.
Registered participants in the timed categories receive a finisher medal and have the option to include a race shirt. Top overall male and female finishers in the 10 km and 5 km receive awards, and individual age group award coins are provided for the first-place finishers in categories ranging from ages 6-9 to 70+. The 3 km "Turtles & Hares" event is an untimed, free community walk/run that is open to all ages and accommodates strollers and wheelchairs.
