19th Annual Butterball 5K
The Butterball 5K is an annual running and walking event held on Thanksgiving morning in Salisbury, North Carolina. The race starts and ends at the Forum, located on South Main Street. Participants complete a 5 km loop through the local area, following a route that includes South Main Street, Airport Road, Airport Loop Road, and Red Acres Road.

The event is timed by Salisbury Rowan Runners, and all registered participants receive a commemorative t-shirt. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5 km race. Additionally, prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in various age groups, ranging from 14 and under to 70 plus. Overall winners are excluded from receiving separate age group awards.
The race serves as a benefit event, with all proceeds directed toward supporting Prevent Child Abuse Rowan and the Terrie Hess House. The total value of prizes available for participants exceeds $500.00. Registration is available online in advance or on-site at the venue on the morning of the event.
