OTC Butte to Butte
The OTC Butte to Butte is an Oregon Track Club event taking place in Eugene, Oregon. This traditional road race leads participants through historic streets, concluding at the 5th Street Public Market. The event offers multiple participation options:
- 10 km Run
- 5 km Run or Walk
- 4 Mile Mayor's Walk
The courses for the 10 km and 4 Mile walk begin at Spencer Butte Middle School, while the 5 km event starts at 5th Street and Pearl. For those participating in the longer distances, a shuttle service operates on the morning of the event between 5th and Oak and the school's starting location. A gear bag drop service is also provided at Spencer Butte Middle School, with bags transported to the finish area for collection.
Five water stations are positioned along the various routes, including locations at Donald and Fox Hollow, 24th and Amazon Parkway, and 16th and High. Age group awards are available for the 10 km and 5 km distances, with divisions ranging from age 5 up to 99. Top finishers in each distance receive floral bouquets, and age group medallions can be collected at the results tent.
This event is designated as a green event, utilizing sustainable practices such as digital event information, recycling receptacles, and the reuse of timing chips. Participants must collect their race packets in the days leading up to the event at the 5th Street Public Market, as there is no packet pickup available on the day of the race.
