BUTS Bearly Ultra
The BUTS Bearly Ultra is a trail running event on November 21, 2026, held at Red Mountain Park in Birmingham, AL and organized by BUTS. The event offers two distance options on Red Mountain trails.
The primary loop measures about 13.5 miles and features roughly 1500 feet of elevation gain. The 27 mile option consists of two laps of the same loop. Course terrain includes runnable old rail beds, twisty root-filled single track, and sections identified as Ike and the BMRR trails. The route passes Grace's Gap Overlook and areas with historic mine shafts, and the course includes scenic resting spots such as chairs and swings.
Organizers provide on-course aid and refreshments; the description indicates aid stations will be available on the loop. Finish amenities include hot food, cold drinks, and a unique finisher medal.
