About the race
Busselton Tri Club Duathlon #2 is a multi‑sport event held at Busselton Surf Life Saving Club on Foreshore Parade in Busselton WA. The event offers separate race options for juniors and older participants, plus a TRYstars kids program on the foreshore and shared path areas near the Busselton Jetty.
Race distances for the main events:
- Short course 1.25 km run, 7 km bike, 1.25 km run
- Long course 2.5 km run, 14 km bike, 5 km run
TRYstars youth distances by age group:
- Under 7s 250 m run, 1 km bike, 250 m run
- 7 to 9 years 500 m run, 2 km bike, 500 m run
- 10 to 12 years 1 km run, 4 km bike, 1 km run
Participants must bring a bike, helmet and running shoes. TRYstars remains on shared paths with volunteers stationed at turns; children will have race numbers written on their left hand and fruit is provided after the race. Club membership options affect entry fees and insurance: general entries receive one‑day insurance cover, while current Busselton Tri Club members with appropriate membership may enter some categories without an entry fee.
