Bushwacker 5K - Pensacola Beach
The Bushwacker 5K is scheduled for August 1, 2026 in Pensacola Beach, Florida. The event includes both a 5K run and a 5k walk and finishes at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk parking lot in front of Bamboo Willie’s.

The course begins in Gulf Breeze at the National Seashore and moves toward the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk where the finish area is located. Organizers listed include RunPensacola.com, Running Wild, and Cap’n Fun Runners.
The event has a history of fundraising for local charities, including more than $100,000 raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters and more than $200,000 raised for other charities. Packet pickup is available the day before at Running Wild Pensacola and there is race day packet pickup at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk finish area. Shuttle buses run between the Boardwalk and the start area on Gulf Breeze Parkway.
Awards are given to overall top male and female runners, masters and grandmasters categories, top three in each age group for male and female runners, and top three male and female overall walkers. A post-race party at Bamboo Willie’s features free popsicles, cold towels, a souvenir Bushwacker cup, live music, and an option to cool off in the sound.
