Burro Buster 5K
The Burro Buster 5K is a run in Fairplay, Colorado that begins and ends in front of the Hand Hotel at 531 Front Street. The course passes Town Hall before joining the River Park Trail and follows a loop through the river corridor and nearby natural areas.
The route uses a mix of pavement, dirt and gravel surfaces and includes natural-surface trail segments and hills. The course loops around the Fairplay Beach campground and provides views of the Mosquito Range. The event takes place at a high elevation, with the course reaching about 9,953 feet above sea level.
There is no water station on the course. Water is available at the beginning and at the finish. The event benefits the Town of Fairplay Scholarship Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
