Burrator Horseshoe Fell Race
The Burrator Horseshoe Fell Race is a popular 6-mile moorland running event held annually in Meavy, Dartmoor. The course traverses scenic landmarks including Burrator Reservoir, Sheepstor Dam, and summits of Sheepstor (369m) and Gutter Tor (357m), finishing with a refreshing ford dip and a warm welcome at the village green near the Royal Oak Inn. Organized by South West Fell Runners, the race supports local parish charities and coincides with the Meavy Oak Fair, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
