Burning River 20th Annual Endurance Runs & Relay
The 2026 Burning River Endurance Runs & Relay is a multi-distance endurance weekend based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The event includes solo and team options and routes that pass through Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Summit Metro Parks.
Distances offered
- 100 Mile - Out and back course from Cuyahoga Falls to Silver Springs Park
- 50 Mile - Point to point from Cuyahoga Falls to Silver Springs Park
- Back Half 50 Mile - Point to point from Silver Springs Park to Cuyahoga Falls
- Marathon - Point to point from Oak Hill to Silver Springs Park
- 100 Mile 8 Person Relay - Same out and back course as the 100 Mile event
Elevation gain is provided for each distance, approximately 8000 ft for the 100 Mile, 4000 ft for the 50 Mile, and 2000 ft for the Marathon. Course maps and GPX files are available and elevation profiles and aid station details are included in the participant guide.
Lodging information lists the Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls near the start and finish, with suite features and a designated room block for a discount. Donations benefit the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Summit Metro Parks Foundation, and Boston Township.
Participants receive a race sticker and poster, plus a choice of water bottle, race tee, or a premium Patagonia long sleeve shirt. Awards are given for overall and age group placings across events. Registration fees vary by period; listed fees range from $270 to $320 for the 100 Mile, $160 to $210 for the 50 Mile options, $95 to $125 for the Marathon, and $80 per person for the relay.
