Burning River Endurance Run & Relay
The Burning River Endurance Run & Relay is scheduled for 07/31/2027 to 08/01/2027 at Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls, 1989 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, US. The 2027 event marks the 21st anniversary. The course travels through several regional areas, including Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Summit Metro Parks.
The event features multiple distances and formats:
- 100 Mile: 32 hour limit; finishers receive a belt buckle.
- 50 Mile: 15 hour limit; finishers receive a 50M medal.
- Back Half 50 Mile: 18 hour limit; finishers receive a 50M medal.
- Marathon: 14 hour limit; finishers receive a marathon medal.
- 100 Mile 8 Person Relay: 27 hour limit; teams receive medals.
All 100 mile runners may have a pacer beginning at mile 50. Runners age 60 years and over may have a pacer for the entire 100 mile race. Relay rules include a requirement that female participants run at least 25% of segments to be eligible for Co-Ed awards, and all relay team members must be age 40 or over to be eligible for the Masters award. Relay exchange locations are subject to change.
