2026 Fall Burke Lake 5k & 10k
A 5k and 10k event held at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Distances follow courses that combine paved road and trail around the lake.
- 5k on mixed paved road and trail course, approximately two water stations.
- 10k on mixed paved road and trail course, approximately three water stations.
The first and last half mile of both distances are on paved roads. The trail sections have some roots but are fairly well maintained and do not include major elevation gains.
Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. Gatorade may be available at some water stations. Walkers are welcome and a virtual participation option is offered for those who cannot attend in person.
Points for these races count toward the year long 5k and 10k series, the Back of the Pack series, and the Summer Series. The Back of the Pack time is listed as 11:00. The event benefits Operation Turbo.
Live results are posted during the race and final results with series points are published after the event. Packet pickup is available at the event and t shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered before September 9.
