Burghley7
Burghley7 is a 7 Mile road race scheduled for 28 February 2027. The course links the town of Stamford, the private Burghley estate and nearby villages, using fully closed roads for much of the route. The route passes historic and landscape features such as St Martins High Street, Burghley House and Deer Park, Bottle Lodges, the Town Bridge and the River Welland, Burghley Walled Gardens, Pilsgate village, and estate landmarks including Lions Bridge and the Lacelot house approach.
The main route is on tarmac roads; the finish area includes a short grass section. The event provides chip timing, a finisher medal, free event photos, full road closures, advanced medical support and free parking. On-site facilities include toilets, bag storage at the start line, a fully staffed medical treatment centre and mobile catering. Race numbers and timing chips are sent to entrants in advance.
Runners must be at least 16 years old on race day. There are no on-the-day entries. The event enforces basic rules such as no in-ear or over-ear headphones and no buggies or dogs on leads.
