Event overview
Burghley7 is a 7 mile road race held on 1 March 2026 at Burghley House and the surrounding Burghley Park and Stamford area. The event is organised by Pacesetter Events and uses closed public roads including St Martins High Street and private areas of the Burghley estate. The course starts near the Bottle Lodges Tudor gatehouse and finishes in front of Burghley House. The minimum age on race day is 17. The standard entry fee is £28.
Race details and facilities
The route is mainly on tarmac roads with a small grass section at the finish. Race services include chip timing, finisher medals, free event photos, on-course hydration and feed stations, full road closures, a staffed medical treatment centre and free parking on the estate. Race numbers and timing chips are posted to entrants in advance; late entrants must collect their number on site. There are no on-the-day entries. A bag drop, toilets and mobile catering are available on site. Prize giving for top finishers is held at the finish line and a results table is provided as runners complete the race. Basic rules note that in-ear and over-ear headphones are not allowed; bone conduction headphones are permitted. Transfers and entry changes are managed within the event terms and conditions.
