Event overview
The Street Striders Shapwick Bunny Hop takes place on 6 April 2026 in Shapwick, Somerset. The event supports Mind in Somerset and Shapwick community facilities. Race headquarters are at Shapwick Village Hall, Station Road, TA7 9NJ. Parking is at Dovecote School car park (100 m north of HQ) with overflow at Shapwick & Polden Cricket Club.

- 7.5 miles multi‑terrain loop (lanes, footpaths, Shapwick Heath)
- 4 miles family walk (partly overlaps the race course)
Course and safety
The race is a 7.5 mile loop with mile markers, marshals at junctions, red flags marking the route, and tape highlighting hazards. Runners should expect mud, uneven ground, stiles, fences, and one marshalled road crossing at mile 5. Off‑road trainers are recommended. Roads remain open; participants must keep left and follow marshal instructions. Dogs are not permitted on the full course.
Entries, rules and facilities
Entry is online only, limited to 150 runners, and closes at 23:59 on 3 April or when full. Minimum age is 17 years (UKA rules). Race numbers are collected at HQ on the day, include medical details on the reverse, and are non‑transferable. First aid and water are provided at HQ and at mile 4.75. Toilets are at HQ and the Cricket Club. A baggage area at HQ is unattended. Refreshments are available at HQ.
Results and prizes
Provisional results are posted at HQ after the race and full results are published online by Street Striders. Prizes are awarded for 1st–3rd male and female, several veteran age categories (V40, V50, V60, V70), first Shapwick resident, and first Street Strider.
Walk details and declaration
The family walk is free with donations welcome; walkers must sign in at HQ and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. By entering, participants confirm they are medically fit, accept the risk of participation, agree to UKA Rules for Competition, and accept that entry fees are non‑refundable. Entrants’ personal details may be stored for event organisation and marketing, and entrants may be contacted by email about future Street Striders events.
