Bun Run in Glasgow
Bun Run is scheduled for 9 August 2026 in Glasgow. The event offers two measured and chip timed distances:
- 5k
- 10k
Races are chip timed, with the race chip on the number bib which must be secured to an outer garment. Race bibs are collected at the registration desk on event day. Race-day information is sent by email in the week before the run and is stored in the participant's online profile with the booking provider Let's Do This. Online entries typically close two days before the event and on-the-day entries are often available, allocated first come first served, with typical on-the-day cash prices of £20 for 5k and £25 for 10k.
Entry and participation rules note age guidance from Scottish Athletics: 5k runners should be 11 or above and 10k runners should be above 15. Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian while onsite.
Event services include hydration stations, kilometre markers, course marshals, music, an instructor led warm up, finishers medals, goody bags with sports nutrition items, and race photos made available after the event. Dogs are not permitted and standard headphones are not allowed, while bone-conduction headphones are permitted. Typical completion cut offs are 1.5 hours for 5k and 10k.
