Building Hope 5K: Run/Walk
This event is a community 5K run/walk with an accompanying kids fun run at LindenPointe in Hermitage, PA. The event supports Building of Hope Ministry, which provides new beds, bedding, pillows and daily care necessities to people in Mercer County.
Distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk, 3.1 Miles
- Kid's Fun Run, 1 Mile
The course uses roadway and a paved trail. Awards include medals for the top three finishers in each age group (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), and a gift card and medal for the first overall male and female finishers. Goodie bags and ribbons are provided to participants in the kids race. The event is timed by Miles of Smiles Timing Service. Featured vendors include Sips n Spurs coffee and Kona Ice snow cones.
Registration opens March 11, 2026 and closes July 10, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $20 for pre-registered 5K entries, $25 on race day, and $5 for the kids fun run.
