Building Hope 5K
The Building Hope 5K: Run/Walk is an annual community event held at LindenPointe in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. This second annual edition supports the Building of Hope Ministry, an organization that provides furniture, beds, and household items to residents in need throughout Mercer County.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
- 1 Mile (Kid's Fun Run)
The course utilizes a combination of local roadways and paved trails. For the 5K event, awards are presented to the first overall male and female finishers, including gift cards. Additionally, medals are awarded to the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over.
The Kid's Fun Run is designed specifically for participants aged 12 and under. All children participating in this event receive goodie bags and ribbons. The overall 5K event is professionally timed by the Miles of Smiles Timing Service. On-site amenities include the Sips n Spurs coffee truck for participants and spectators.
