Event overview
The CDHFH Builder's Dash is a 5K run/walk held in Dover, Delaware, on April 11, 2026. The event takes place at Rail Haus - Beer Garden on North West Street and benefits Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity. Registration is listed from December 12 through April 11 at a fee of $40. No dogs are allowed due to insurance liability, bibs are non-transferable, and registrations are non-refundable.
Race format, timing and amenities
The event offers a regular 5K run/walk and a separate COMPETITIVE WALKING 5K category, which requires participants to walk the entire course; running or jogging is not permitted in that category. Chip timing is provided by R2R Timing using the MYLAPS BibTag system. Overall male/female and masters awards are scored by gun time; all other age-group awards are scored by chip (net) time. Awards include top overall male/female, top masters male/female, top three male/female in 10-year age groups from 13 & under through 70 & over, and awards for top three male/female walkers. Participants receive unisex tee shirts and post-race refreshments and music. Results will be posted online during and after the race, and event photos will be posted on the organizer’s Facebook page.
