Buffalo Run - 50th Annual
The Buffalo Run marks its 50th annual running at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, NE on September 20, 2026. The event uses a historic 5 Mile course that follows the hilly park roads and begins at the top of the Pinewood Bowl. Entrants are asked to enter the park via Van Dorn Street; the Van Dorn entrance is about one mile west of Coddington.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Lincoln Running Company and there is limited race day packet pickup at Pioneers Park reserved for out‑of‑town competitors. Registration fees vary by date; day‑of registration amounts shown include $40 for adults and $30 for youth, and ages 19 and under receive a $10 discount at checkout. Lincoln Track Club members are eligible for a $1 discount using the promo code LTC.
Awards include Buffalo Trophies for the top three overall men and women and top masters men and women. Distinctive Buffalo Run award T‑shirts are given to the first three men and first three women in each age division, with age groups ranging from 15 and under through 85 and over.
