Buffalo Run 50th Annual
The Buffalo Run takes place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Lincoln Track Club, in coordination with Lincoln Running Company, organizes this 50th annual running event.
The event features a historic 5 mile course that runs on the hilly roads of Pioneers Park and begins at the top of the Pinewood Bowl. Use the Van Dorn Street entrance to access the park; the entrance is noted as one mile west of Coddington. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Lincoln Running Company, with additional race day packet pickup at Pioneers Park reserved for out of town competitors.
Registration fees and windows are provided for different categories: early registration through September 12, late registration through September 19, and day of packet pickup fees. Separate youth pricing applies for participants 19 and under. Volunteer registration is available and volunteers will be contacted with further specifics.
Awards include Buffalo Trophies for top three overall male and female finishers and top masters male and female. Distinctive Buffalo Run Award Winner T shirts will be given to the first three men and first three women in each age division: 15 and under, 16 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, 75 to 79, 80 to 84, and 85 plus.
