Buffalo Run - 50th Annual
The Buffalo Run is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. The event is organized by the Lincoln Track Club in coordination with the Lincoln Running Company and marks the race's 50th consecutive year.
The course is the historic 5 Mile route through Pioneers Park. It runs on the park's hilly roads and begins at the top of the Pinewood Bowl. Entrants are asked to use the Van Dorn Street entrance to the park, located one mile west of Coddington.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the Lincoln Running Company, and limited race day pickup is available at Pioneers Park for out-of-town competitors. Registration includes an age-based discount policy; participants ages 19 and under receive a $10 discount. Members of the Lincoln Track Club may use promo code LTC for a $1 discount.
Awards include Buffalo Trophies for the top three overall men and women and for top masters men and women. Distinctive Buffalo Run award T-shirts are given to the first three men and first three women in each age division: 15 & under, 16-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85+.
