Buffalo Run - 50th Annual
The Buffalo Run is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Lincoln, NE at Pioneers Park. The event features a 5-Mile Run held on the park roads. The course begins at the top of the Pinewood Bowl and follows the hilly roads within Pioneers Park. Entrants are advised to use the Van Dorn Street entrance to the park, located one mile west of Coddington.
Packet pickup is handled the day before the race at the Lincoln Running Company. Race day packet pickup is available at Pioneers Park and is reserved for out-of-town competitors. Volunteer opportunities are available; volunteers will be contacted by the volunteer coordinator with further specifics.
Registration fees listed for the event include early and youth early pricing, late pricing, and day of packet pickup fees, with separate categories for adults and youth. Awards include Buffalo Trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and top masters male and female. Distinctive Buffalo Run award shirts are given to the first three men and first three women in each age division: 15 & under, 16-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85 plus.
