Buffalo Run - 50th Annual
The Buffalo Run will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. The event is the 50th annual running and is described as the oldest continuous race hosted in Lincoln. It is organized by the Lincoln Track Club in coordination with the Lincoln Running Company.
Race details note a historic 5 Mile course that runs on the hilly roads of Pioneers Park. The race begins at the top of the Pinewood Bowl. Entrants are asked to use the Van Dorn Street entrance to the park, located one mile west of Coddington.
Packet pickup is available at the Lincoln Running Co on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Race day packet pickup at Pioneers Park begins at 7:00 a.m. and is reserved for out-of-town competitors. Registration information includes a youth discount of $10 for ages 19 and under and a $1 discount code LTC for Lincoln Track Club members.
Awards include Buffalo Trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and top masters male and female. Distinctive Buffalo Run winner shirts are awarded to the first three men and first three women in each age division, from 15 and under up through 85 and over.
