Buffalo Run - 50th Annual
The Buffalo Run is a five mile road race held in Lincoln, Nebraska at Pioneers Park on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026. The event is presented by the Lincoln Track Club in coordination with the Lincoln Running Company and uses the hilly roads of Pioneers Park; the race begins at the top of the Pinewood Bowl. Entrants are asked to use the Van Dorn Street entrance to the park, located one mile west of Coddington.
Registration options include early, late, and day of packet pickup fees. Early registration through Sept. 12 offers reduced rates, including a youth rate for participants 19 and under. Late registration runs from Sept. 12 through Sept. 19, with different fee levels for adults and youth. Day of packet pickup fees are listed for adult and youth entries. Volunteer registration is available and volunteers will be contacted by the volunteer coordinator with further specifics.
Awards include Buffalo Trophies for the top three overall men and women and top masters men and women. Distinctive Buffalo Run Award Winner T-shirts are given to the first three men and first three women in each age division: 15 and under, 16-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85 plus.
