Bucky's Boot Top Prohibition Run : April 11, 2026
Bucky's Boot Top Prohibition Trail Run is a looped trail race held at Dowdell's Knob in F. D. Roosevelt State Park, Pine Mountain, GA. The event is the sixth edition and benefits MercyMed of Columbus. The course uses the boot shaped Boot Top Loop and reconnects to the Pine Mountain Trail to return to the start area.
The primary loop measures about 4.3 miles and features rocky, rooty, rolling singletrack. Scenic and course highlights noted by the organizer include waterfalls, wildlife sightings, a memorial rock marking a 1953 plane crash site, and Elephant Rock near the finish. The Dowdell's Knob overlook provides sweeping views of The Valley and is a known site for weddings.
The race is limited to 75 runners and there will be no race day registration if the field is full. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult on course. Overall male and female awards will be given for each distance.
