Bucky's Boot Top Prohibition Run

This is a trail running event in F. D. Roosevelt State Park, Pine Mountain, Georgia. It is part of the Southern Singletrack Race series. The race takes place on the "Boot Top Loop" starting near the Dowdell’s Knob overlook.

The course is a single 4.3-mile loop of rocky, rooty, and rolling singletrack trail. Runners pass scenic features such as waterfalls, a memorial rock at a 1953 plane crash site, and "Elephant Rock." Participants choose how many loops to run to complete their chosen race distance.

The available race distances are:

  • 7K – 1 loop
  • 14K – 2 loops
  • 21K – 3 loops

The event is capped at 75 total runners. Each participant receives a race shirt and a finisher award. Registration fees increase after March 21, 2026. There are no transfers, refunds, or deferments.

On the course, there are two aid stations providing water, electrolyte drink, pretzels, chips, fruit chews, and/or candy. Runners are required to bring their own water bottle. A parking fee of $5 per vehicle applies and is not included in registration. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.

Overall awards are given for male and female runners in each distance. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
