Event

Buckin’ Hell is a trail race held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Mt Seymour Resort in North Vancouver, BC. The event offers three main distances:

  • 35 km
  • 50 km
  • 50 km two-person relay

There is also a non-competitive Kids Race of about 1 km, typically for children aged 3 to 10. The Kids Race is free to register and is not timed. Awards are given for the top three per gender and top three relay teams. All finishers receive a finisher medal.

Course and logistics

The courses run on North Shore mountain trails and include named trail sections such as Baden Powell, Mystery Lake, Severed, Brockton Lookout and Old Buck. The 35 km course lists ascent and descent of 1700 m. The 50 km course lists ascent and descent of 2500 m and carries ITRA points. The 50 km relay is split into two legs of about 25.0 km and 25.3 km, with listed elevation changes for each leg.

Aid stations and drop bag locations are marked on the course map. The race is cup-free, so runners must carry their own cup for fluids. Poles are allowed from the start. A bag check tent is available at the start/finish but is not monitored. Package pickup is available at a retail location in North Vancouver and at the race start. The race acknowledges the event takes place on the ancestral territories of local First Nations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
