Buckeye Trail
The Buckeye Trail is a trail running event held at Brecksville Reservation. The 32nd annual running takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026 and offers two distances.
- 25k point to point from Pine Lane to Oak Grove; same trails as the 50k.
- 50k trail race established in 1994 and recognized as the oldest trail 50k in Ohio.
The 25k follows the same trails as the 50k on a point to point course. The 50k began as an informal birthday run in 1994 and was originally run as an out and back course. The event is part of the Ohio Endurance Series, a collection of supported trail races in parks across Ohio.
Participant guides and course maps are provided for both the 25k and 50k. Registered finishers receive a triblend tee and a finisher medal. Donations collected at the event benefit the Crooked River Chapter of the Buckeye Trail Association.
Awards are presented for the top three overall male and female finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in five year age groups from 19 and under through 70 and over. Series competitors who take part in multiple Ohio Endurance Series events may qualify for series recognition and athlete trading cards.
