Buckeye Moon Trail Runs - August 8, 2026

The Buckeye Moon Trail Runs is a night trail running event near Alum Creek Reservoir in Lewis Center, OH. The event uses a loop course of 4.1 miles that runs on moderately rolling, wide-track trail alongside the reservoir. The course will be marked with small LED lights for navigation.

Participants choose from multiple lap options on the same loop. Each lap passes the Celebration Area where earlier finishers and spectators can offer cheers.

Distances available:

  • 7K - 1 loop
  • 13K - 2 loops
  • 20K - 3 loops
  • 26K - 4 loops

A headlamp or running light is required for the night run. The organizer lists the Amphipod Versa-Light Max as the official headlamp option; participants may wear any headlamp they choose.

Check-in is at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area. Parking is available at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road; participants should park in designated areas and avoid parking in the grass or along the road.
