Buckeye Moon Trail Runs, Lewis Center OH
The Buckeye Moon Trail Runs on August 8, 2026 is a night trail running event organized by Greenswell Events at Alum Creek Reservoir in Lewis Center, OH. The event offers multiple loop distances on a marked trail that runs alongside the reservoir, providing nighttime reservoir views.
The course is a moderately rolling, wide-track loop of 4.1 miles. Small LED lights will mark the course to assist with navigation. Participants may choose to run one to four laps of the loop to complete their selected distance.
Distances available:
- 7K - 1 lap (4.1 mile loop)
- 13K - 2 laps
- 20K - 3 laps
- 26K - 4 laps
A headlamp or running light is required for the night run. The event lists the Amphipod Versa-Light Max USB as the official headlamp but notes that any headlamp may be worn. Check-in is at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area. Parking is available at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road; parking must be in designated areas and not on grass or along the road.
All finishers receive a commemorative finisher amenity. The top three overall male and female finishers for each distance will receive awards. Race shirts are also offered as part of event amenities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
