Buckeye Moon Trail Runs
The Buckeye Moon Trail Runs take place Saturday evening, August 8, 2026, near Lewis Center, Ohio at the Alum Creek Reservoir area. The event uses a loop trail of 4.1 miles per lap on a moderately rolling, wide-track trail that runs alongside the reservoir. The course will be marked with small LED lights for night navigation.
Distances offered:
- 7K : 1 loop
- 13K : 2 loops
- 20K : 3 loops
- 26K : 4 loops
Participants must wear a headlamp or running light for the night run. The event lists the Amphipod Versa-Light Max USB as the official headlamp recommendation, but any headlamp may be used.
Check-in is located at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area. Parking is available at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road; participants are asked to park in designated areas and not in the grass or along the road.
All finishers receive a commemorative finisher amenity. The top three overall male and female finishers for each distance will receive an award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
