Bub's Run
The Bub's Run event takes place in Kennesaw, Georgia, at 4500 Eagle Drive on the North Cobb Christian School (NCCS) campus. This athletic event offers multiple participation options, including timed and untimed distances, as well as a virtual component. Proceeds from the event benefit the Momento Foundation.
Participants can choose between two primary on-site distances:
- 5K (Chip timed)
- 1 Mile Fun Run and Walk (Untimed)
The 5K course covers a distance of 3.1 miles and consists of several different surfaces, including asphalt, sidewalks, grass, and turf. This specific race has a 45-minute time limit for completion. The 1 Mile Fun Run and Walk winds throughout the campus grounds, primarily utilizing asphalt and turf surfaces. Unlike the longer distance, the 1 Mile option is not chip-timed and does not have a set completion time limit.
For those unable to attend the physical location in Kennesaw, a 5K virtual runner option is available, which includes an event T-shirt. There is also an option to purchase an event shirt without participating in the athletic events. Registration for the various categories takes place in the months leading up to the race, with different closing dates depending on the selected event type.
