Bubba's Backyard Ultra
The eighth edition takes place on October 3, 2026 in Center Conway, New Hampshire, at 564 Stark Road, Center Conway, NH 03813. There is an option to camp Friday evening and social meals are planned over the weekend.
The event uses a last person standing format. Each participant must complete the loop within an hour and return to the starting area before the next lap begins. The race ends when only one person remains in the starting area and that person completes their final lap.
The course is a roughly 3.5 mile loop made up mostly of forest singletrack with short sections of snowmobile trail, fields, and logging roads. Each lap has about 250 feet of elevation gain. A minimal aid station is located midway through the loop. Organizers note they attempted to reach a 4.167 mile distance but chose the current loop length because of trail conditions.
Event logistics include a Saturday lunch with sandwiches, grilled burgers including a vegetarian option on Saturday evening with a bonfire, awards in multiple categories, event swag, and swag bags for all participants.
