Bruce Barnes Mile

The Bruce Barnes Mile is a one mile road race held on June 7, 2026, in Crozet, Virginia. The event uses chip timing and all runners will start together. Registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes June 6, 2026. The registration fee is $12 per person until race day and $17 per person on race day.

The course is entirely downhill, with the steepest descent occurring over the final quarter mile. The finish is within view of the Mirador mansion. Runners encounter panoramic mountain views on the cooldown return to the Greenwood Community Center.

Parking is available at Greenwood Community Center, 865 Greenwood Road, Crozet, VA 22932. Directions from Charlottesville proceed via I-64 West to Crozet, Exit 107 to US-250 West, then follow Rt. 690 and Rt. 691 Jarmans Gap Road to the Greenwood Community Center.
