Brownville Freedom Run : 23rd annual
The Brownville Freedom Run takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Brownville, Nebraska, at East Main Street and Highway 136. The event is the 23rd annual edition and coincides with America’s 250th birthday.

Organizers aim to provide a safe and professionally managed event with water stations, snacks, and restrooms provided as in the previous year. The race departs from the corner of Highway 136 and Main Street. Each participant receives a finisher medal upon completion.
Registration fees and deadlines are listed for each distance. The 5K and 10K have a listed registration fee of $35 through July 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM US Central. The Kids Fun Run has a listed registration fee of $25 through the same deadline. Group registration and fee information are available separately.
