Broughshane 5 Mile Road Race
The Broughshane 5 Mile Road Race is organised by Ballymena Runners and takes place on 17 August 2026 at Broughshane Community Centre on Knockan Road, Broughshane. The course is a fast, flat and officially measured 5 mile route around the village, and running with earphones, dogs or prams is not permitted.
Entries are capped and the event operates a waiting list when full. Minimum age is 16 years on the event date. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £24.00 and Non Affiliated £26.00. Entrants who register before 26 July 2026 are guaranteed a bespoke technical running vest as part of the entry fee.
All finishers receive a bespoke commemorative medal. Prize structure includes monetary awards for male and female open winners and placed finishers, age category prizes paid at £30 each, team prizes scored on the top four finish positions, and prizes for top juniors under 18. Age category results use chip timing from start mat to finish mat; open results use gun time from whistle to finish mat.
Race number collection is available with early collection at The Thatch Inn in Broughshane on 16 August and at the Community Centre on race day. There are multiple parking locations and toilet facilities listed near the venue. There are no refunds or deferrals, and transfers or name changes are permitted online up to 10 August 2026.
