Broughshane 5 Race
The Broughshane 5 Mile Road Race is scheduled for 17 August 2026 in Broughshane, with the event base at Broughshane Community Centre on Knockan Road. The course is an Athletics NI officially measured 5 mile route and is described as flat. For safety and in line with UKA rules, running with earphones, dogs or prams is not permitted.
Entries open on 26 April 2026 and close on 9 August 2026. Entry numbers are capped and there will be no entries on the night. Entry fees are listed as £24 for affiliated runners and £26 for non affiliated runners. Entrants who enter before 26 July 2026 will receive a bespoke running vest. The minimum age for entry is 16 years or older on the event date.
All finishers receive a bespoke commemorative medal. Cash prizes are awarded to the male and female open winners and to age category winners; age category results use chip timing from start mat to finish mat. Team prizes are decided on the lowest cumulative finishing positions of the top four club members. A prize is also set for the top junior male and female under 18.
Race packs can be collected at The Thatch Inn on Sunday 16 August from 13:00 to 15:00, or on race day at Broughshane Community Centre from 16:00 to 18:30. There are no refunds or deferrals; transfers and name changes are possible online until 10 August 2026. Parking and toilet facilities are provided at several village locations with varied capacity.
