Brothers for Life 5K - Point Mallard Park, Decatur, AL
Brothers for Life is a community event that raises support for local firefighters, police officers, EMS professionals, and dispatchers. The event returns to Point Mallard Park in Decatur and includes multiple participation options on the same day.
The event features the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Options include a traditional 5K run and a separate 5K ruck division. The ruck division specifies weight requirements of 30 pounds for male competitors and 20 pounds for female competitors. A 1 mile fun run or walk is also offered.
Registration opens in late January and closes in late July; fees listed by the organizer are $30 for each 5K event and $25 for the 1 mile fun run. Early registrants receive a shirt.
Packet pickup is available the evening before the event at Cross Eyed Owl Brewery, 105 1st Ave NE, Decatur, AL, and there is additional packet pickup on race morning at Point Mallard Park.
