Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk
The Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ event is a 5K run/walk held in Prospect Park, New York, presented by Maimonides Health. Registration is not yet open for the upcoming edition and the field is capped; there is no same day registration when the event is active.
Early packet pickup takes place at Brooklyn Running Company, 480 Bergen Street in Park Slope, on the Thursday and Friday before the race from 3 to 7 pm. Race day packet pickup is available at the Bartel Pritchard lot. Runners who register close to pickup may receive bib lookup information electronically.
Amenities include a specially designed Brooklyn Pride Run t shirt and a custom engraved finisher medal for every runner, a bag drop area, portable facilities, and post race water and snacks with water provided by smartwater. Live results are available online and by email or text, and finish line photos and video are provided on race day.
The event recognizes finishers with age and gender category awards. Overall awards are given to the top three in female, male, and non binary categories. Age group winners are recognized in standard brackets from 13 and under through 70 plus. Policies note that children may participate though youth shirt sizes are not available, strollers must start at the back of the pack, and dogs are not permitted.
