Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk
The Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K is a community run and walk held in Prospect Park, New York, presented by Maimonides Health. Participants receive a specially designed Brooklyn Pride Run t-shirt and a custom engraved finisher's medal. The event offers a bag drop area and portable restroom facilities, with water supplied by smartwater and snacks available after the finish.
Packet pickup is available before the event at Brooklyn Running Company, located at 480 Bergen Street in Park Slope, and there is packet pickup at the event site in the Bartel-Pritchard Lot on race day. There is no same-day registration. Runners who register early may receive a personalized bib with race number, name, and pronouns; a Self Lookup and texted bib number service are available for those who do not know their bib number.
Awards recognize the top finishers in each gender category, including Top 3 overall in Female, Male, and Nonbinary categories, and Top 1 in age groups 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Results are provided live online, by email or text, with free video and same-day finish line photos.
Event policies note that dogs are not allowed, strollers should start at the back of the pack, and entries cannot be refunded or transferred though an entry may be converted to a donation.
