Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk
The Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk is a community running event held in Prospect Park, New York and presented by Maimonides Health. The event combines a timed run and walk format with post-event amenities and awards.
Registration opens in advance of the event and there is no same-day registration. Early packet pickup is available at Brooklyn Running Company in Park Slope, and race day packet pickup takes place at the Bartel-Pritchard Lot at the event site. Personalized bibs with name and pronouns are available for those who register early.
Every participant receives a specially designed Brooklyn Pride Run t-shirt and a custom engraved finisher medal. The event provides a bag drop area, portable facilities, water supplied by smartwater, and snacks after the finish. Live online results and same-day finish line photos and video are offered.
Awards recognize top finishers in each gender category and by age group, including overall top finishers and age group winners; award recipients are contacted after the event. The event allows children to participate but does not offer youth t-shirt sizes. Strollers may participate from the back of the pack for safety. Dogs are not permitted. Participant numbers are capped due to Parks Department restrictions. Group registration is offered for groups of ten or more and requires a single upfront payment with individual registration using a provided code.
