About the race
Brooklyn Mothers Day is a CityTri Runs event on May 9, 2027 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The event offers three timed distances on the park's main loop and provides race-day services and awards for finishers.
The course uses Prospect Park's main drive, closed to cars for the morning and lined with trees for most of its length. The loop is rolling rather than flat, with about 140 feet of climbing per lap. Each distance runs the same loop a different number of times.
Distances
- Half: four loops; 3.02 mile opener, then three 3.36 mile laps.
- 10K: two loops; 2.84 mile opener, then one 3.36 mile lap.
- 5K: one loop; 3.1 miles start to finish.
On-course support includes three aid stations per loop offering water, Gatorade, and gels in a grab-and-go format. Timing is provided by professional chip timing with live results and per-lap splits posted after the race. Race-day services listed include bib pickup (race day only), bag check, portable toilets, and pre-race announcements. Every finisher receives a tech shirt and a finisher medal; post-race food is provided and awards include overall plaques and age-group medals for top finishers.
