Brooklyn Free Clinic 5K Run/Walk
The Brooklyn Free Clinic 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraising event on November 7, 2026 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn at 101 Prospect Park Southwest. The race supports the Brooklyn Free Clinic, which provides free healthcare to uninsured patients.
The course is a 3.1-mile (5K) loop that finishes at Center Drive. Water is available on course at mile 2. Portable restrooms are provided in the Nethermead and at the start and finish areas. After the event, participants and guests may gather in the Nethermead for post-race refreshments and music; the area can be accessed through Center Drive or walking paths off Well House.
The event is capped at 400 registrants. Amenities listed for participants include a shirt, finisher medal, post-race nutrition, bag check for bib holders, live results via web, text, and email, and free finish-line photos. A personalized bib is available for those who register at least three weeks before race day. Bag check is available only to participants with bibs.
A six-week running clinic for SUNY Downstate employees and students is scheduled in Prospect Park from September 22 to October 28, 2026 to help prepare attendees for the 5K.
