Broadview Heights Mayor Alai's 5K
This community event takes place in conjunction with Broadview Heights Home Days on the Green and begins and ends at the Broadview Heights Community and Recreation Center, 9543 Broadview Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles), chip timed
- 1 Mile Walk (1 mile), untimed
Registration opens February 3 and closes July 8 at 9:00 AM. The standard fee is $25 if paid before July 8 at 9:00 AM and $30 afterwards. A family rate of $23 per person is available for groups of three or more living at the same address. Registrations completed by June 8 guarantee a race shirt subject to availability and qualify for free on site parking.
Refreshments of fruit and water will be available at the finish line. All participants receive either a free alcoholic beverage for those 21 and over sponsored by Broadview Brewing Company or a sports drink.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female and to the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups for the 5K, for both male and female, are: 10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, and 60 and over.
