Broadview Heights community run and walk
This family-oriented event takes place in conjunction with Broadview Heights "Home Days on the Green." The course begins and ends at the Broadview Heights Community and Recreation Center, 9543 Broadview Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147. Refreshments of fruit and water will be available at the finish line. All participants receive a free alcoholic beverage for those 21 and over sponsored by Broadview Brewing Company or a sports drink.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles), chip timed
- 1 Mile Walk (1 mile), untimed
Registration details include a base fee of $25 before July 8 at 9:00 and $30 afterward. A family rate of $23 per person applies for three or more people living at the same address. Register by June 22 to guarantee a race shirt; shirts are subject to availability after that. Free on-site parking and finish-line refreshments are provided for walkers and runners.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female and to the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups for male and female runners include 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 and over.
