Brineman Triathlon : Syracuse, Utah
The Brineman Triathlon takes place at Still Water Lakes Resort with the finish at Jensen Nature Park. The event includes triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike formats and uses a single transition area at Still Water Lakes. Swim starts use a rolling start with athletes seeded by average 100 yard pace. Water safety teams on kayaks and SUPs monitor the swim and support is available; athletes may hold a support vessel without penalty if there is no forward movement.
Distances offered:
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 14 mile bike, 5 km run
- Olympic: 1500 m swim, 25 mile bike, 10 km run
- Long: 1.2 mile swim, 52 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
Race rules and equipment notes include mandatory helmets on the bike, no headphones on any course, and a no drafting policy enforced by USAT officials. Aid stations are placed approximately every mile on the run; the long bike course has two aid stations while the sprint and Olympic bike courses have none. Timing chips and optional body marking are distributed at the transition area. Bike numbers have adhesive backing and must be attached; the run bib must be worn facing forward. Relay teams receive a single timing chip and a single set of race numbers.
Parking is centered at Jensen Nature Park and nearby neighborhoods. Volunteers and on-site medical personnel provide support at the start and finish areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
