Brighter Days 5K/Walk For Autism
The Brighter Days 5K/Walk For Autism is an annual community event held in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Now in its fifth year, the event is organized through a partnership between Brighter Days and Heart 4 Kids Therapy Centers. The primary objective of the gathering is to raise autism awareness and generate funds for the Brighter Days Heart 4 Kids Scholarship, which assists local residents in accessing speech, language, and occupational therapy services.
The event features two main participation options:
- Brighter Days 5K Run: A chipped and timed race.
- Walk For Autism: A 1-mile non-timed walk.
Both courses begin at Brighter Days Brewing Co., located directly on the Pinellas Trail. The 5K race includes awards for overall male and female finishers, as well as age group awards. Winners in specific age categories receive custom beer glasses.
All participants receive an official event shirt, a swag bag, a finisher medal, and one beer provided by the host brewery. The event site features booths from local sponsors offering running gear, custom gifts, and other merchandise. Strollers and dogs are permitted at the event, with the request that these participants line up at the rear of the starting field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
