Event overview

BRIGHT Run is a family-friendly, non-competitive walk or run held at Christie Lake Conservation Area in Hamilton. The event offers two course options:

Fundraising and impact

All participant-raised funds go directly to local breast cancer research in Hamilton. The event is entirely volunteer powered with no paid staff, and Community Partners cover organizing and hosting expenses. To date, BRIGHT Run has funded 21 research projects, including four added in 2024. The 2024 event reported about 1,700 participants and 200 volunteers. In the most recent fundraising cycle the goal was $518,000 and the event raised $533,038, or 103% of that goal.
