BRIGHT Run : event description
BRIGHT Run is a family friendly, non competitive event that raises funds for local breast cancer research in Hamilton. It takes place at Christie Lake Conservation Area, normally on the first Saturday after Labour Day. The 19th annual edition is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026.

To date BRIGHT Run has funded 24 research projects, typically valued between $50,000 and $100,000 each. The 2025 event had about 1,700 participants and 200 volunteers. The fundraising goal for 2026 is listed as $500,026, with $100,086 raised so far, representing 20 percent of that goal.
