The run benefits the Bright Ideas Grant Program of Horry Electric Cooperative, which funds classroom-based educational projects for grades K–12 in Horry County. Registered participants receive a Bright Ideas 1/4 zip shirt and a finisher medal. The 5K course is described as flat and scenic through downtown Conway, with police and course support on site.
