Brigg Poppy 10K & Military Challenge
The event takes place in Brigg town centre at Market Place, Brigg DN20 8LH, with a stated capacity of 1200 participants. It is a UKA licensed road event offering a 10 km race alongside a separate Military Challenge.
There are two distinct event options: a standard running race and the Military Challenge. The Military Challenge requires competitors to wear boots and carry a backpack weighing 36 lbs (16.3 kg) for men and 24 lbs (10.9 kg) for women. Participants are not required to run the course; walking or tabbing is permitted.
Organisers note that finishers receive a designed finishers medal and that cake is provided. There is an option to add a bespoke event t shirt, with profits from that garment supporting the Poppy Appeal. The event is connected with the Poppy Appeal.
Tickets for the listed event are currently sold out. The event organiser is Curly's Athletes, a community and charity focused event management team based in Scunthorpe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
