About the race
The Perron Institute Bridges Fun Run is organised by the West Australian Marathon Club and takes place at Barrack Square, Perth on 4 April 2027. The event offers three distances:
- 10km
- 5km
- 300m Kids Dash
Online registrations close on the Thursday prior to the event at 12:00 noon and there are no late entries. Race bibs must be collected before event day; someone may collect a bib on behalf of a participant. Participants living outside the Perth metropolitan area can arrange to collect bibs on the morning of the event before 8:00 if prearranged.
All registered runners will have electronic timing provided by Bluechip Timing with both gun time and net time recorded; disposable timing chips are attached to the race bib. Finishers in the 5km and 10km events, and all Kids Dash participants, receive a finisher medal as they cross the line. Presentations begin at 10:00 in front of the bell tower. The 10km and 5km races include overall and under-16 awards across male and female categories, with the 10km including state championship recognition.
The course crosses several city bridges and runs alongside the Swan River. Wave starts are used and runners self-seed into categories. The use of headphones or musical devices is strongly discouraged for safety. There is a 10:30 cut off for both timed events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
