About the race
The Perron Institute Bridges Fun Run takes place at Barrack Square, Perth on 4 April 2027 and is organised by the West Australian Marathon Club. The event offers multiple distances and open entry so club membership is not required.
Available distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 300 m Kids Dash
All registered participants receive electronic timing with gun time and net time recorded via disposable chips attached to the race bib. Finishers in the 5 km and 10 km events receive a finisher medal on crossing the line; every Kids Dash participant receives a Kids Dash medal. Race bibs must be collected before event day; someone may collect a bib on behalf of a participant. Participants from outside the Perth metropolitan area can arrange morning collection before the event by prior arrangement with the organiser.
Awards are presented for overall places and first under 16 in both the 10 km and 5 km events; the 10 km awards include recognition as State Champion where applicable. Individuals self-seed into start waves according to posted categories. There will be draw prizes and presentations after the run. Headphone use is strongly discouraged for safety. Entry fees vary by distance and member status; the 300 m Kids Dash is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
