Bridgeport 5K Run/Walk

The Bridgeport 5K is an outdoor community event held at Rotondo Riverfront Park behind 96 DeKalb Street in Bridgeport, PA. The event includes a main 5K run/walk and a separate Kids Fun Run for children up to 12 years old. The course is described as having hills and routes through the town.

Beneficiaries of the event are the Bridgeport Fire Department and the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard. The event program includes live entertainment, a race ceremony, and a live DJ. Amenities listed for participants include a water station, race t-shirts, gift bags, refreshments from local vendors, and a one-hour course time limit.

Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers and acknowledgments are made for the top three male and female times in each age bracket. Participation medals are provided for kids. Timing is provided by a professional race timing company.

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Puddlers Kitchen & Tap at Conshohocken Brewery, 3 Dekalb Street, Bridgeport, PA 19405.

Free 5K training plans and group runs are offered in the weeks before the event, with plans beginning in late August or early September and running through the race date.
