Bridgeport 5K : Bridgeport, PA
The Bridgeport 5K is an annual community road race that began in 2017 and is held in Bridgeport Borough in Montgomery County along the Schuylkill River. The course is USATF certified. The stated mission is to showcase the Bridgeport community, encourage volunteerism, and provide a different, challenging, and unique course for runners and walkers.
The event day normally includes a 5K run/walk, a Kids Fun Run, live entertainment, refreshments, and a race ceremony. Awards are presented for the top three male and female finishers, and all participants in the Kids Fun Run receive a prize.

Profits from the race are donated to charitable organizations. Past beneficiaries include the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department, the Montgomery County Hero Fund, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Addie's Angels, and the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter. To date, the Bridgeport 5K has raised over $25,000 for these non-profits.
