Bridge City Glow Run
The Bridge City Glow Run takes place in Saskatoon on June 12 after sunset. It is a fun run with no official timing, limited to 500 participants, and covers a distance of just under 4KMs. The course is point-to-point on the Meewasin Trail west-side from under the Gordie Howe Bridge to just before the Sid Buckwold Bridge.
Each registration includes a glow run bib, a shuttle-bus ride to the start line, and a glow stick. A professional fireworks display is scheduled during the final kilometre of the course unless wind exceeds 40 km/h for safety reasons. Finish-line swag is distributed inside Gather Local Market; participants must present their glow run bib to receive a high-quality pint glass. There is a Green Bib option at the same price that does not include the pint glass and directs more funds to the Saskatoon YWCA emergency shelter for women.
The event is presented by Rebellion Brewing and features a post-run gathering at Gather Local Market with a DJ and $3 beer from Rebellion Brewing. There is no parking or participant vehicles allowed near the start line; participants must use the free shuttle or walk to the start. Registration opens May 26 and there are no refunds or deferrals.
