The Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run is scheduled for July 18, 2026 in Morro Bay, California. Course and logistics
The beach fun run starts at Morro Rock and finishes at the Cayucos Pier. The half marathon begins at Morro Rock, goes to the Cayucos Pier, turns around and returns toward Morro Rock; at about 10.5 miles the course leaves the beach through soft sand for a one-mile loop through a local park, then returns to the beach and finishes at Morro Rock. The event is held on the beach, so shoes will likely get wet.
Water and aid stations are provided, with three stations noted for the Rock to Pier run. Parking is limited in Cayucos; there is more parking at Morro Rock and nearby. Transportation is provided from the Cayucos Pier back to the start at Morro Rock. Awards and a post-event breakfast take place at Morro Rock. Shirt sizes are limited while supplies last.
