Brian Goodwin 10k
The Brian Goodwin Memorial 10 km road race takes place on 19 June 2026 and is organised by Bellahouston Harriers. The race starts and finishes at Cartha Queen's Park RFC (92 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 4SN) and is staged over a two-loop course largely inside the grounds of Pollok Park.
The course is officially certified and benefits from traffic management so that sections outside the park are on traffic-free roads. The event pairs competitive racing with a Friday night in summer atmosphere and includes a free beer and burger at the finish area.
In 2025 the winning times were 29:52 for the men's race and 34:37 for the women's race; that year 367 runners finished, 27 runners recorded times under 36 minutes, and 70 finished in under 40 minutes.
Prizes are awarded to the first three senior men and women, first in age categories U20, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 and V70 for men and women, and first male and female team (four counters). Entry fees are listed at £25 standard (£23 with a Scottish Athletics number) with an early-bird structure for the first 150 entries. Entries are non-transferable and cannot be deferred. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics licensed event (No. ES014872). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
