Brian Goodwin 10k
The Brian Goodwin Memorial 10 km is Bellahouston Harriers’ flagship event scheduled for 19 June 2026. The race starts and finishes at Cartha Queen's Park RFC (92 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 4SN) and is staged over a two-loop course largely inside the grounds of Pollok Park. The route is officially certified and traffic management controls are used on the sections outside the park to provide traffic-free running.
The event pairs fast racing with a summer evening atmosphere and includes a complimentary beer and burger at the finish. The 2025 edition saw a men's winning time of 29:52 and a women's winning time of 34:37; 367 runners finished that year, with 70 completing the course in under 40 minutes and 27 breaking 36 minutes in warm conditions.
Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd senior male and female finishers, winners in multiple age categories from U20 through V70 for men and women, and to the first male and female teams (four counters). Entry fees are listed as £25 standard and £23 with a Scottish Athletics number, with an early price for the first 150 entries. Entries are non transferable and non refundable except if the organisers cancel. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is Scottish Athletics licensed ES014872.
