14K/7K Brewery Run
The 14K/7K Brewery Run is part of the TQL Beer Series and serves as the opening running event for Oktoberfest Cincinnati, which the organizer describes as the largest Oktoberfest celebration outside of Munich. Both distances start and finish along Cincinnati's riverfront.
The courses travel through areas that include many historic brewery sites and follow routes that were used by horse drawn carts to move beer from breweries to riverboats. A course map and turn by turn directions are provided for each distance. There is also a virtual 14K/7K option.
Distances
- 14K (8.7 mi / 14.00 km)
- 7K
Registered in person participants receive a race shirt, a commemorative pint glass and a poster at packet pick up. All finishers receive a finisher's medal that doubles as a bottle opener. In person bibs include two drink tickets and a Skyline Cheese Coney voucher redeemable only at the 14K/7K post race party. The post race party is free and open to the public and includes beer, music and snacks.
The event uses a staggered start for the two distances. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance by gun time. Age group awards for men and women are determined by chip time and cover a range of standard age categories; overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
