Course and facilities
The route is an out-and-back on canal towpath with greenery alongside the canal. The course is described as not overly challenging. Feed stations are located around every three miles and organisers aim to be cup-less, so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. There may be unmarshalled road crossings. Parking is available in a pub field; a £5 charge applies to the pub. Car sharing is recommended.
Services, rules and finish items
The event is licenced by the Trail Running Association. There is a 6.5 hour cut off for completion. Large over-ear headphones are banned; bone-conducting or one-in-one-out in-ear pieces are permitted if earphones are used. Bibs are issued on the day of registration. Finishers receive a bespoke Solstice medal, cake and other finishers' items. Transfers and deferrals can be self-served online up to 48 hours before the event.
