15th Annual Breeze in the Trees 5k : Sahuarita, AZ
The 15th Annual Breeze in the Trees 5k takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Green Valley Pecan Company, 1625 E. Sahuarita Rd., Sahuarita, AZ 85629. The event is the second race in the Orchard Series. Registration opens November 10, 2025. Entry fee is $40; the fee increases to $45 starting July 1, 2026.
Race features, course and beneficiaries
Participants registered by July 15, 2026 will receive a free 50/50 blend T-shirt (sizes not guaranteed after that date). The event includes a pancake breakfast topped with Green Valley Pecans provided by the Green Valley Firefighters Association, plus coffee, water, and snacks. Prize gift certificates to the Running Shop are awarded to masters and overall finishers ($100, $60, $50, $30). Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age division: kids, teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. The race is USATF sanctioned, uses chip timing, and awards a collectible medal to the first 300 finishers.
The course runs on dirt private roads between pecan orchard fields and occurs early in the summer when the trees have a full canopy and pecans have reached maximum size but are not yet ripe. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Beneficiaries include Walden Grove High School Marching Band, Sahuarita 4-H Club, and the Sahuarita Sidewinders youth baseball team.
