Event overview
The Breckland 10k is a 10 kilometre road race in Croxton, near Thetford. The course runs along gently undulating country lanes and is held on open country roads. The route is marshalled by club members and is signposted. There is a 1 hour 30 minute cut off and the minimum age for entry is 15. The event holds race licence 30252.
Logistics and rules
Entry fees are £19 for affiliated runners and £21 for unaffiliated runners; a £4 fun run on-the-day entry is also available. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred. Transfers to another runner are allowed until midnight on 25/04/2026.
There are water stations at about 5–6 km and at the finish, and a sponge station at 8 km. Toilets are at the village hall and additional portaloos are provided. Refreshments are provided by a cafe run by club members. Designated parking is a two minute walk from race HQ. A bag drop is available but is unattended during the race.
Safety rules require runners to follow marshals' instructions; failure to comply may lead to disqualification. As per UK Athletics rules T55 S5, normal headphones are not permitted on open roads. Bone conductor headphones that do not sit in or on the ears are accepted, but runners must remain able to hear marshals and traffic.
Prizes include medals for all finishers, male and female 1st–3rd, and male and female 1st in age categories 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65+. Prize giving is at 12:15 pm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
