Breckland 10k
The Breckland 10km is a club organised road race in and around the village of Croxton, near Thetford. It forms part of the Sportslink Grand Prix series for 2026 and is held on gently undulating country lanes. The course is marshalled by club members and is well signed.
The event distance is 10 km. There are water stations at the halfway point and at the finish, and a sponge station at the 8 km mark. A cut off of 1 hour 30 minutes applies. Minimum age for entry is 15.
Safety instructions apply because the race takes place on open country roads. Runners must follow marshal directions. Wearing of headphones or similar devices is not permitted except when medically prescribed. Bone conductor headphones that do not sit in or on the ears are allowed but participants must still be able to hear marshal instructions and be aware of traffic noise.
Prizes include medals for all finishers and awards for male and female 1st to 3rd places. Age category prizes are awarded for junior, 18 to 39, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 plus. Prize giving is scheduled for 12:15 pm.
Facilities include refreshments provided by the club cafe, toilets at the village hall and additional portaloos, designated parking a two minute walk from race HQ, and an unattended bag drop. Entries are non refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are available until midnight on 25/04/2026. Race licence 30252.
